Indio Rotary Dear Indio Rotary Thank you very much for your donation of reading books to our third graders. Students were extremely excited to be able to choose a book to take home and read! The books were of high interest to students as some of the titles were fiction and non-fiction. Students were eager to share their choices with their peers and many couldn’t wait to go home and show their parents! As educators, we are always looking for ways to encourage students to read recreationally.

The Club is in the process of preparing the fire truck, which includes adding the required equipment and hoses, making a few repairs, adding some signage, and then will donate the truck to the town of San Juan Bautista Tuxtepec in the State of Oaxaca, Mexico which currently does not have a working fire truck. Miranda Banda, UC Irvine, Psychology, therapist in the court system; Jennifer Dimas-Alcaraz, UC Irvine, Business Admin; Zabdi Cruz, UC Riverside, Medical School; Megan Gibbons, CSU-San Marcos, Social Worker; Amada Gutierrez, Biola U, PR + Comm, minor in music; Jacqueline Perez, U San Diego, Law; major in Philosophy; & Leslie Rivas, COD(then UC Berkeley or Cal Poly Pomona, Start her own Business.
