Rotary Club of Indio Projects
Fire Truck Project:
- On May 23, 2023, the Riverside County Board of Supervisors authorized and approved the ownership transfer of the 2002 Type I Saulsbury Fire Engine Asset 11-815 VIN#4S7AT40942C042303 from the Riverside County Fire Department surplus fleet to the Indio Rotary Club. The Club is in the process of preparing the fire truck, which includes adding the required equipment and hoses, making a few repairs, adding some signage, and then will donate the truck to the town of San Juan BautistaTuxtepec in the State of Oaxaca, Mexico which currently does not have a working fire truck.

Interact Club at Shadow Hills High School:
- Rotary Club of Indio sponsors the Interact Club at Shadow Hills High School.
- Interact is a service club that teaches leadership & community service.

RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards):
- Rotary Club of Indio Sponsors sending High School students to the weekend RYLA camp for leadership training.

College Scholarships:
- Rotary Club of Indio provided 7 scholarships this past year to graduating seniors for college.

End Polio:
- THE ENDGAME PLAN depends on us. Rotarians made a promise to fight to the finish to ensure that no child suffers the paralyzing effects of polio ever again.
- Rotary International is a major player in the fight to ending Polio Internationally.
- Our club's financial donations help in that fight.
Book Project: February/March 2023
- 3rd year of providing books for elementary school children.

- An Art Festival of local Coachella Valley creative artists of all kinds- students, amateurs, & professionals, who will be showcasing, demonstrating and selling their work.

- All middle schools are invited to send a team to compete in Math related games & tests. Trophies & Awards are given to the outstanding team & individuals.

Bus Transport for 3rd graders to Coachella History Museum
- Rotary Club of Indio joined with another Rotary Club to transport Coachella students to visit the Coachella History Museum.
Painting of dog fence:
- Rotary Club of Indio participated in Work Week-end serving the Community by painting the dog fence at an Indio park on Golf Center Parkway. See Gallery pictures on the left.
